Time, a scarce resource

Time is one of those scarce resources that one cannot buy, grow or delegate. Therefore, its usage should be planned to maximize productivity and profitability.

Alexandra Samuel from Vision Critical provides four guidelines to help manage the amount of time one spends on email:

  • Define an email time budget
  • Allocate the e-mail time during the day
  • Focus on emails that matter
  • Stay responsive
